Care & governance

Accountable, evidence-
based and safe by design

HCS understands the importance of clinical frameworks and the monitoring and evaluation of outcomes. Our HCS Clinical Governance Committee ensures we deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed service provision across all program streams, so we can achieve quality outcomes for those we serve.

Our Clinical Governance Framework ensures that, as a provider of care for vulnerable young people and families, every placement arrangement is safe, stable and of a consistently high quality.

Child safe organisation

Keeping children safe is everyone’s responsibility

HCS is committed to being a child safe organisation. We embed safety into everything we do, from how we recruit and train our people to how we listen and respond to the young people in our care.

  • Aligned with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and the WA Guidelines 2019.
  • Rigorous, safe recruitment including Working with Children Checks and national police clearances.
  • External qualifications validated, with ongoing clinical oversight by our registered nursing team.
  • Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training and continuous professional supervision for care staff.
  • Clear, accessible channels for young people, families and staff to raise concerns and provide feedback.

Feedback & complaints

We welcome feedback from young people, families, carers and partners. It supports our ongoing improvement, and it is central to keeping our care safe and accountable.
